MISSION STATEMENT
Plus Size P.O.W.E.R. is a membership club that serves as a support group to inspire and motivate women and teens, sizes 14 and up. We build confidence, celebrating the curvaceous you. We teach women and teen to believe in themselves and reach their fullest potential.
The P.O.W.E.R. stands for Potential Of Women Everywhere Regardless of Size.
The membership club was formulated in early 2000. We achieve our mission statement through fashion shows, pageantry, the Mini-zine, photo shoots and other events. The Club is a not-for-profit club and we keep it going through your support of becoming a member, fashion show and other fundraisers.
About The Founders
Plus Size P.O.W.E.R Founders
Ms. Linda Smith wears a size 22W. Ms. Smith has been a make-up, hairstyle and fashion consultant for plus-size women for over 10 years. Ms. Linda Smith is also a motivator providing uplifting information and self-acceptance to plus-size women.
Ms. Pamela Smith wears a size 24W. She has done professional plus-size modeling through Condra Artista Modeling Agency and Brentwood Modeling Club. She held the title of Miss Brentwood Plus 1998 and then retained the title in 2000-2001. She represented Texas in the Ms. Plus USA Pageant in Chicago, IL. Pamela was also crowned Ms. Texas Plus America 2004 and is part of a pageant sorority holding the title of Ms. Texas Plus America Ambassador. Pamela recently won Pretty Plus Princess title as Ms. Plus World.
