PAMELA SMITH
Pamela Smith was born in San Antonio, Texas.  She is the daughter to Janett and Larry Berry Sr. and has a close knit family of two sister, a brother and nieces and nephews.  She is a proud parent of a son that is attending an Advance Placement Medical High School Program with the determination to become a doctor.

Pamela is a graduate from Wayland Baptist University in which she obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management.  She earned an advance certification as a Child Protective Services Specialist IV.  She also has an Associates Degree in Legal Secretarial from San Antonio College.  Pamela was employed for over 15 1/2  years for the State of Texas as a social worker and has worked with abused/neglected children and their families, as well as foster parents.  “Helping people, especially teenagers and children can be so rewarding when you know that you made a difference in their lives”.

Pamela has done professional print modeling for Condra Artista Modeling Agency and Brentwood Modeling Club.  She won Texas 1996 BBW Model Search and her picture appeared in the winter 1997 edition of the magazine.  She was an on-going hostess/greeter for Sears Roebuck Company mall grand opening in Austin, Texas.  She also has done runway modeling for Catherine’s Department Store and did several bridal/prom extravaganzas at the Austin Convention Center and other various locations.  She enjoys doing amateur photography, swimming and collecting Barbie Dolls.

My Motto, “Learn to appreciate being in your own skin.  Accept life’s challenges and feel worthy and capable of handling them.”  I feel this motto can apply to your every day life.  It goes hand in hand with my platform of Celebrating the Curvaceous You/Self-Esteem and Self-Confidence in Women and Children.  The motto and platform are dear to me because I wasn’t always plus-size and as an adult, I had to learn to become comfortable “in my skin” and not to put my life on hold waiting to lose weight.  My mother always instilled in us that we can accomplish whatever we go forth to do; you can be plus-size and look fashionable good to.  This is why my older sister and I created our own business, Plus-Size P.O.W.E.R Membership Club.  It works as a support group to inspire and motivate women and teens to build self confidence, celebrating your curves, learning to believe in yourself and reach your potential, regardless of size!
