State Titles are award on a first come first serve basis in each division (Miss Teen, Miss, Ms., Ms. Lady* and Ms. Women* and Mrs. Categories - *Ms. Lady & Women Divisions may be combined if not enough contestants). The state title you apply to represent can be the current state you, live, work or attend school in; the state you were born or have resided in, your state nickname (i.e.: Ms. Lone Star State Plus USA), your city name (i.e.: Ms. San Antonio Plus USA), or city/state landmark (i.e.: Ms. Alamo City Plus USA or Ms. River City Plus USA)
You must be between the ages of 13 and up as of September 2, 2012 (Delegate can be 12 years old provided that she reach her 13th birthday by September 2, 2012. You must be a Natural Born Female, You must be a U.S. Citizen
You must be a size 14 or larger, Teens must be enrolled in school or have a high school diploma with no children Mrs. Division must be married to a natural born male for at least a year as of September 2, 2012 (and must send copy of marriage license with profile page), Miss and Ms. Division may be married, single, divorce, single mother as of September 2, 2012.
State Winners may re-enter the pageant the following year as long as they have fulfilled their obligations and followed the pageant rules and regulations. Overall and National Winners may not apply for the same title but can apply under a different divison if they meet the status requirement. OVERALL AND DIVISION WINNERS MUST AGREE TO REPRESENT PLUS SIZE POWER USA SOLELY FOR ONE YEAR AND MAY NOT BE A NATIONAL WINNER TO ANOTHER PAGEANT. Plus Size POWER reserves the right to refuse entry into the Plus Size POWER USA Pageant to anyone for any reason. Delegates must maintain good moral ethical character. Delegates may not smoke or drink while in crown and sash. Delegates may not have a history of posing for nude or provocative photos during her reign.
You must be present at the “Live” 2012 On the Red Carpet Fashion Show/Plus Size P.O.W.E.R. USA Pageant held in San Antonio, Texas in September 2012, You must submit 2 photos (one headshot/one full body) for website. The photos should have good clarity. Once Your Receive Your State Crown & Sash, You Must Submit A Photos wearing both. One of the pictures should be a headshot (close up facial shot) in your crown.
Delegates are Judged on the following areas:
Interview 30%
(A 5-7 minute individual interview with a panel of judges – Questions will be based on your personal profile, the city or state you are representing or current events.)
Fashion/Trend Wear 20%
(The latest Plus Size Fashion or Fashion Trend of Your Choice)
Dressy Cocktail Pants Wear 20%
(Must be a dressy pants outfit of your choice, you would wear to a elegant party or event)
Evening Gown 20%
(Must be a floor length gown of of your choice)
P.O.W.E.R. Member Recruitment 10%
You must be a Plus Size P.O.W.E.R. Spokesperson by recruiting new members.
(Recruited new members can be teen members or adults (male or female)*. They do not necessary be plus size, but can your friends, your family members, your associates or your supporters.) 10% of recruitment is based on a bell curve for all contestant (i.e.: top contestant recruited 10 new members/each
Recruitment will be worth 1 points each for the maximum 10%)
* Only Plus Size POWER Female Members, Sizes 14 and Up will receive their own Full-Figure Member Feature in the Mini-zine)

Each Delegate Must Have A Platform/Cause or Charity they will represent or be a spokesperson for throughout their reign (Platform should be Plus Size Related - i.e. Plus Size Fitness, Plus Size Modeling, etc). You must make at least five appearances throughout your state reign with crown and sash in/at your hometown events.
You must provide Plus Size P.O.W.E.R. staff with photos of the event within 30 days after each appearance.
State/National Entry Fee Total: $500 (No hidden expenses, all fees are explained on this page)
Breakdown: $50 (Non-Refundable Application Fee – Due Now with Application)
The Application Fee will secure you as an applicant; it does not guarantee your state title choice.
$450 is due by May 31, 2012. Applicants must make at least a $100 or more payments each month or they will be in jeopardy of loosing their applicant status or loosing their first choice title.
Sash, crown and delegate prize package will not be mailed until applicant has paid in full. Individual Sash and Crowns are not ordered until applicant has paid entire balance and can take up to 6-8 weeks. We ask that you please think seriously about the commitment you can make to participating in the pageant, as should a applicant or delegate decide to withdraw from the pageant at any time, all Fees (including ad fees, pageant, banquet and talent/fashion and hair show admission, etc.) that are paid to Plus Size POWER are NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON TRANSFERABLE (in part or in full) that a delegate or sponsor has paid. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Delegates must sell one (mini-zine size) support or business Ad ($50), two pageant tickets ($25 each) and two banquet tickets ($40 each). These funds (totaling $680 with entry fee) are all due by May 31st. There are “optional” talent, scrap booking, cover girl and model portfolio fees also due on the above date. If you recruit other members to the membership club (for recruitment votes) those membership fees should be turned in as received by delegate (via mail or paypal). The deadline for all recruitment votes with recruitment membership funds (cash/money orders only) will be during the registration of the delegate during the live pageant.
Delegates may seek sponsors to help pay for entry fees, wardrobe, etc. or may pay the fees herself. Plus Size P.O.W.E.R. is a not for profit/self supporting business all pageant fees go into the production of the pageant (ie: hotel rental, equipment rental, decorations, prizes, awards, etc.
Performing Talent: $50
This is a competition divided into two categories: Teens and Adult Talent. Your Talent can be: singing, dancing, poetry reading, commercial, dramatic interpretation etc. You must provide your music (on CD) during National registration. You can use props. The music should be cued/ready to go and labeled with your name. This competition is judged on originality of your routine and stage presence. Routines should be no longer than 2 minutes. (Sash and Crown Awarded to overall teen and adult winners). Winners will also sit at the head table of the Shades of Pink Banquet.
Non-Performing Talent: $20
Your Non-Performing Talent can be: quilting, art work, craft projects, sewing project, etc. Contestants are judged on skill of the object presented, neatness, and creativity.
Runway Model Skit: $30
Contestants perform a professional catwalk modeling skit/routine. This competition is judged on props, costume, originality and creativity of your routine, modeling techniques and stage presence. Routines should be no longer than 2 minutes. You must provide your music (on CD) during National registration. The music should be cued/ready to go and labeled with your name.
Model Battle: $25 each person
Are you and your friends the next plus size top model? Then bring it!!! You and three friends strut your stuff on the runway in a model skit against other model groups. Trophies and other prizes awarded.
Photogenic Modeling Portfolio: $20
Contestants should have five or more photos of themselves in a presentation folder or modeling portfolio. This competition is judged on diversity of your looks, photogenic, poses, and originality.
Scrapbook: $20
Contestants should present a scrapbook album. Your pictures should tell a story. It can be of your life in general, your pageant life or a special time/event in your life (wedding, etc). Contestant will be judged on creativity, consistent in theme throughout the album.
Covergirl: $50 (each additional photo submitted is $20)
(Voting is through the internet) The Covergirl is chosen through an online competition. The winner will be the contestant with the most votes. The winner will be on the back cover of the 2006 Plus Size POWER USA Program Book and will appear in the mini-zine.
